The Zadar Fishermen’s Cooperative brings together 10 cooperative members with 14 boats, of which 11 are purse seiners and 3 trawlers, who provide the entire range of blue and white fish with their catches. The cooperative provides its members with the purchase and sale of blue and white fish, commercial mediation on the domestic and foreign markets, procures fishing equipment and tools, and provides information on legal and other changes related to the fishing sector.
Our goal is the sale of all types of blue and white fish, and in the near future, the construction of our own infrastructure with a fish processing facility that will enable disposal of market surpluses and thereby increase profitability. The cooperative enables its members to act collectively on the Croatian and European fish markets, which increases the competitiveness of the members themselves.
By the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture of January 16, 2020, the Zadar Fisherman’s Cooperative is recognized as a fishery producer organization under the name “Zadar Fisherman’s Cooperative – producer organization” for the territory of the Republic of Croatia for the species groups of white fish and small bluefish.
